Players compete to build rail-lines from one city to another in this famous and fun family game of strategy and luck. Each player has a secret set of cities to connect on a game-board that has a limited number of connections a player can make.

Each player can only do one of three things each turn: gather train-car cards, turn in sets of train-car cards to make a connection between two cities on the board, or try to get more secret destinations. There is elements of strategy and luck in deciding what cities to connect to make a path between your destinations, deciding when to draw more train-car cards or place a connection, and what cards you draw.

The game is elegantly made, with a large and colorful game board, 40 plastic train cars in 5 colors (one for each player), over 140 cards with train-cars and destinations, and 5 wooden score counters.

This game is a good introduction game for people who haven\\\'t played games other than \\\"Monopoly\\\", and is popular enough that there are several other versions being made. Highly recommended.
